Marching to the beat of her own drum, Rei Kawakubo has been revolutionising fashion since her Paris debut in the 1980s. COMME DES GARÇONS PLAY was founded in 2002 by the Japanese designer as ‘a sign, a symbol, a feeling’ that could delve into the realm of the minimalistic everyday wardrobe. The label is now one of the most widely recognised lines under the CDG umbrella, thanks in large part to the iconic heart motif, which was designed by Polish graphic artist Filip Pagowski. Add character to your outfits with MATCHES’ selection of logo-stamped sweatshirts, T-shirts and knitwear, then finish the look with Chuck Taylor or Terminator trainers, created as part of collaborations with Converse and Nike.
