Having studied a deconstructivist approach at Brussels’ La Cambres Modes, Marie Adam-Leenaerdt reinterprets everyday objects to create contemporary clothing – a folded napkin is masterfully translated into a dress, a high-top table inspires a strong-shouldered suit jacket. Having sharpened her skills at French luxury fashion houses Givenchy and Balenciaga, the Belgian designer founded her eponymous label in 2023 and debuted her first collection in Paris to critical acclaim. Her considered vision is already apparent in sculptural cuts, precise construction, quality fabrics and a versatile approach that allows for multifunctional styling. Smarten up in structured blazers, reversible skirts and delicate blouses, finishing outfits with jagged pinched coats.
